New annual report published

Thousands of pounds is spent putting on Apex Challenge events every year. Most of it comes from the teams taking part. Our annual report spells out exactly how it's all been spent as well as what we're thinking of doing in the future.

You can read how much we spend on the events, from booking the venues to buying printer paper. You'd be surprised how it all adds up!

You can also find out more about the people behind the competition and the sponsors who contribute to the running costs. We also reveal how we plan to expand the event in the next few years.

2008 Apex Overnight Challenge entries open

Now is the time to enter one of the biggest events in the Scouting calendar - the Apex Ovenight Challenge. This huge weekend competition is taking place in Sherwood Forest on the 10th-11th May 2008.

More than 200 Explorers and Network members are expected to take part in the event, which is now regarded as the top event of its kind in the UK.

More than a dozen exciting and challenging activities will be on offer including an exhilirating high level ropes course and a range of inflatable challenges alongside many of the other challenges you have come to expect from the event. Teams will be entering from across the UK.

Entry is in teams of four and works out at just £10 per person for a team of four, including all food, camp fees and activities - meaning it's great value to take part.

Check out the event details for more information, then gather together your team of four and enter online before the event fills up. You won't be disappointed!

There's space for 70 teams to take part and by the interest we've already had, we're sure those spaces will be quickly snapped up!

Tell your friends about the event by sending them the flyer below on an email. Right click and select "save as".
