2010 T-shirt design revealed

2010's brand new Apex Challenge T-shirt design has now been revealed complete with a specially commissioned image.

The design by Nancy Alford is a landscape scene that aims to sum up the range of thrilling activities you might expect to be tackling at an Apex Challenge competition. The green printing on a gold coloured t-shirt is a bold combination that we hope will get you noticed when wearing it. On the reverse is the Apex Challenge website address, again printed in green.

Only those taking part in our 2010 competitions will be able to get hold of these t-shirts. In the past almost all the teams have been wearing them and many Scouts say they enjoy wearing them at other events for many months afterwards as well.

If you didn't pre-order yours when you entered the event then it's still possible to get your hands on one. They're just £5 each and you can contact us to place your order. There'll also be some spares available at the event, but to avoid disappointment make sure you pre-order yours in advance!

We're really looking forward to seeing so many people wearing them during the events.

Full team details now online

Full details of all 75 teams who are taking part in this year's Overnight Challenge are now available online. The technical problems that have stopped us from doing this sooner have now been fixed.

We're really sorry for the gremlins that have plagued our system over the last few weeks and a big thank you for bearing with us during the problems!

All the teams who are registered in next month's event can now log on to the Confirmed Team List page and double check the details we have stored in our database, including the names of their individual team members. If there are any changes or mistakes it would be great if you could send us an email as soon as possible. It's always much easier to change those details before the event than over the weekend!

Next Event Now Full

There's still more than a month to go until this year's Apex Overnight Challenge and the event is already full. 75 teams have now got the entry fees to us to claim all the spaces available.

Well done if you've managed to confirm your place in the event. We've got a bigger area at Sherwood Pines Forest Park than ever before and the list of activity bases on offer looks like the best ever!

The Confirmed Team List has details of all the teams which have successfully secured a place in the next event. If your team is on the list and for any reason needs to pull out of the competition, please contact us so we can offer your place to another team.

For those teams that are taking part it's really important you read through all the event details before the competition, especially the information on the kit list and the page about consent forms which need to be completed by all those taking part, including Network members who are over 18.

We'll be revealing more details in the coming weeks about the event, including revealing this year's t-shirt design. Keep checking the blog for more details!

Next Event Almost Full

It's only been a month since entries opened for the 2010 Apex Overnight Challenge and the event is almost full already. More than 75 teams have already registered to say they would like to take part in the event at Sherwood Pines Forest Park in Nottinghamshire on the weekend of 10th - 11th April.

The race is now on for teams who have already registered to get the cheques to Apex HQ to cover their entry fees and any T-shirts they would like to order. It's important to remember that registering your team is not enough to guarantee your place in the event. If your team is currently listed on the Provisional Team List page it means we haven't yet received your cheque and it is still possible for other teams to confirm their places first. Once 75 teams have confirmed their places then the event will be closed to any other entrants.

It is still possible for you to register online to take part in the competition. Just fill in your details on the online entry form and send your cheque to us as quickly as you can to make sure of your place.

We're very busy planning a record number of activity bases for this year's competition which is taking place in a newly enlarged playing area. Our biggest ever inflatable assault course is already on order and with some of the other challenges planned this is an event you won't want to miss. Send your cheques in now and make sure of your place!
