Location for next event confirmed

It has now been confirmed that the next Apex Challenge will take place at the Harewood House estate just outside Leeds in West Yorkshire on the weekend of 2-4 October 2015.

This will be the first time the event has visited the exclusive estate which has a large area for us to use that will give us plenty of opportunities to create new and exciting activities for the three day event.

Further details will be announced later in the summer and entries will open online in mid August.

Barnsley Explorers win T-shirt wearing competition

The winner of our 2013 T-shirt wearing competition was announced at our event at Bramham Park last weekend.

We set teams who took part in our 2013 events and bought the bright pink 'Apex Competitor' design T-shirts to wear them somewhere impressive with a prize for the best image received.

We were really impressed with Barnsley Explorers getting a collection of Apex T-shirts, including the 2013 design, together for their trip up a mountain in the Alps.

Well done for taking Apex with you on your trip! Make sure you take your 2015 design T-shirts with you on your travels this year. We would really enjoy seeing the pictures.

Bramham Park hosts biggest Apex ever

What an amazing weekend of adventure that was! After a year away the Apex Challenge was back, and back in style this weekend, with its biggest ever competition at Bramham Park in West Yorkshire.

105 teams of Explorers and members of the Scout Network arrived in warm spring sunshine at the prestigious estate on the outskirts of Leeds on Saturday afternoon before tackling a series of new activities throughout the evening.

It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces coming back to join us as well as many teams who had ever been to an Apex Challenge before.

All the results, along with hundreds of photographs, are now online. You can flick through details of all the teams and compare different route maps to see which tactics were the best for leaving with the top prizes.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and we hope to see many of you again when the Apex Challenge returns in October.
