Last chance for T-shirt orders

This weekend is the last chance for teams taking part in our upcoming tenth anniversary Apex Challenge to order their exclusive 2012 design T-shirts. It's great to see so many teams have already ordered theirs at just £7 each. Orders need to be in by 9pm on Sunday 30 September.

If your team hasn't ordered T-shirts yet but would like to then please log in to your team details page where you can order and pay for your T-shirts.

It's also really important that any teams who want to change their team name do it by 9pm on Tuesday 2 October. There are some really good ones this year but we have spotted a few teams who still have things like Rotherham 1 and Rotherham 2 so it would be great to see some more creative ones! Unfortunately it's not possible to change them after Tuesday evening.

Before your team sets off to the event, also make sure everyone on your team has a signed consent form to bring with them as well as everything from the kit list and you have checked the directions. All the details are on the next event pages of the website.

Finally, we know some teams plans change at short notice, so if for any reason your team needs to withdraw from the competition, please contact us so we can offer your place to another team.

Slide, crawl and climb with brand new challenge

Teams taking part in next month's Apex Challenge will find themselves face to face with our biggest ever inflatable assault course during every stage of the event.

The huge inflatable which is so big it has to be delivered in three separate pieces, will need to be crossed by teams on each element of the competition.

With so many obstacles, including slides, squeezes and scramble nets, this energy-sucking inflatable challenge will test the teams' athletic and teamwork abilities before the actual activities even start.

This added element has been made possible by a grant from the Big Lottery Fund which is helping us provide an enhanced event in October to mark the tenth anniversary of the Apex Challenge.

Other activities for teams to tackle during the action-packed weekend will include rock climbing, archery, abseiling, mountain biking and many more tough challenges. The ultimate adventure is nearly here!

More than 100 teams tackle Apex Intense

More than 100 teams tackled a specially designed version of the Apex Challenge at last weekend's Synergise camp at South Yorkshire's Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre.

The 60 minute event included a giant inflatable assault course, a series of dramatic obstacles and a one hour dash around the site to gather as many Apex points as possible. Teams of Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and members of the Scout Network all competed with some impressive scores being achieved.

Check out all the details about the event including photos, results and a short video including action from the whole event which attracted more than a thousand people.
